Insurance Coverage

  Insurance Coverage

Illinois law requires most employers to provide workers' compensation insurance. The Employer Insurance Coverage Search page provides insurance coverage information for employers that have bought a workers’ compensation insurance policy.
This information comes from policy information reported to the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission (IWCC) through its designated agent, the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI).

Click here to conduct an Employer Insurance Coverage Search.

If you have trouble opening the Employer Insurance Coverage Search page, you may need to download a more recent version of your browser.

If you do not find insurance coverage information, the employer may be covered in other ways.  This database does not include Illinois employers that are self-insured (approximately 300) or the hundreds of Illinois employers that are in a self-insurance pool.

If you need help additional help identifying an employer's coverage, call the IWCC Information Unit toll-free at (866) 352-3033 or (312) 814-6611, or e-mail the IWCC Insurance Compliance Division.
